WATCH: Former UT building in downtown Austin brought down by implosion

AUSTIN, Texas (KEYE) - On Sunday morning, Ashbel Smith Hall in downtown Austin was imploded.
Just after 8 a.m., the 10-story former University of Texas System building was brought by explosives, sending the 44-year-old structure tumbling down in 10 to 12 seconds.
Ashbel Smith Hall was built in 1974 as administrative offices for UT.
It’s being demolished to make way for a new office building.
