The S.C. Dept. of Corrections has arrested a woman who prison officials say tried to smuggle drugs into Evans Correctional Institution inside her vagina.

SCDC police arrested Tonya Denise Elrod on Sunday, June 10, during inmate visitation at the Bennettsville prison.

Elrod was caught hiding methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana in her vagina, the Dept. of Corrections says.

Elrod has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine, criminal conspiracy, possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to distribute, and attempting to furnish a prisoner with contraband.
