Parents convicted of leaving child home alone during clown prank

OSHKOSH, Wisc. (WLUK) - Two people who left their 4-year-old child home alone while they took part in what police called a "clown gag" were convicted Tuesday.
Bryce Cook pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge and was fined $200, according to court records. With court costs and assessments, he owes the court $705.
Jennifer Conery also pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge and her resisting charge was dropped. She also owes a total of $705.
Menasha police were called to the area of Appleton and Midway roads on Oct. 7 for a report of people wearing clown masks and chasing vehicles in the area. As they investigated, police discovered the couple had left their child at home for at least a few hours while they were taking part in the prank.
