(WENN) - A bible belonging to late singer Whitney Houston is being sold for $95,000 by her former landlord.

According to TMZ, the "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" hitmaker left the religious book behind when she moved out of a luxury rental property in Newport Beach, California, where she had lived from 2009-2011.

The owner of the property, who remains unnamed, has told press he found the bible in a box along with some of the singer's clothes and CD's by the trash after she'd moved out.

Following the find, he claims to have signed a non-disclosure agreement and contacted Houston's agent about the left-behind items, who told him he could keep them.

He admitted he threw away the rest of Houston's belongings but kept the bible because he thought it was "interesting".

It's now being sold through autograph dealers Moments in Time and is expected to fetch $95,000.

According to TMZ, it has the musician's handwriting "all over it" with pages documenting the star's significant life events.

Under a page entitled 'marriage', the How Will I Know singer had scribbled her name and "Robert B. Brown" alongside the date July 18, 1992, charting her wedding day to her former husband. The couple later divorced in 2007.

Under another page marked 'births', it lists Houston's daughter Bobbi K. Kristina and her birthday March 4, 1993.

The troubled star was found dead in her guest room at the Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills, California in 2012.

The official coroner's report confirmed that she had accidentally drowned in the bath, with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributing factors. (EGB/WNWCZM/DMC)
