Robert Downey Jr. is officially bringing Iron Man to the upcoming Spider-Man reboot.

The actor, who has played Tony Stark and his superhero alter ego since 2008, will appear in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," opposite newcomer Tom Holland as the titular web-crawler.

The project will mark the second team-up between Iron Man and Spider-Man, as Holland is making his debut as the character alongside Downey in "Captain America: Civil War," due out in May.

Downey joins a cast including Zendaya and Marisa Tomei - his co-star in 1994 romantic comedy "Only You."

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is slated to hit cinemas on July 7, 2017.
