Donald Glover poked fun at Kanye West scandal on 'SNL'
(WENN) — Rapper and actor Donald Glover poked fun at the latest Kanye West scandal during his stint as host of "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend.
The "Atlanta" star, a.k.a. Childish Gambino, parodied hit horror movie "A Quiet Place" for a skit on the show, during which he stunned castmates with breaking West news as they attempted to hide from a monster.
West has been making waves over the past 10 days with a series of odd tweets and comments he made about slavery during a chat on "TMZ Live."
The rapper and fashion designer's remarks have included his public support of controversial President Donald Trump, and his belief that 400 years of slavery was a "choice" for African-Americans.
The latter particularly riled up friends, fans, followers and critics alike, and Glover made sure to poke fun at his peer on "SNL" in the skit titled "A Kanye Place."
One by one, Glover and the sketch show's regulars were attacked by a creepy monster as they expressed their outrage over comments West had made, which Glover whispered to them as they made their way through a field.
Saturday's show also opened with a star-studded skit, with Ben Stiller, Alec Baldwin and Scarlett Johansson reprising their "SNL" characters Michael Cohen and Donald and Ivanka Trump, and the president's alleged former mistress Stormy Daniels, making a cameo as herself.
The sketch revolved around Trump attorney Cohen making several phone calls to various contacts as he tried to find out what was happening over the Daniels scandal. Baldwin, as Donald Trump, eventually cut Stiller's Cohen off and spoke privately to the adult film star, who urged the leader to resign, before informing him, "I know you don't believe in climate change, but a storm's a coming, baby!"
Trump has been accused of paying the adult film star for her silence following an affair.
